Hair fall is a common problem in many of us. We all have that time when we feel like we are shedding more hair than usual. And trust me hair fall can be really heart-breaking- as it is one of our precious assets. So what can you do to prevent or stop hair fall? Read till the end to find out.
Comb your hair when it is dry: Your hair is in the weakest form when it is wet. And combing wet hair definitely invites more hair to be on the floor. So never comb or brush your hair when it is wet. If you have to, then apply a serum or leave-in conditioner and detangle it with your fingers. Comb your hair starting from the ends. If you start combing your hair from the roots, then chances are the tangles in your hair will pile up in your length and when you go to the length you cannot detangle your hair. So you end up breaking the hair.
Get rid of dandruff: The major cause of hair fall can also be dandruff. Dandruff makes your hair weak and when your hair is weak, it is more than likely to fall. So make sure to remove dandruff with an anti-dandruff shampoo or shampoo/oil mixed with lemon.
Use comb over hair brush: Using wide-tooth comb can help prevent hair fall than hair brushes. Hair brushes sometimes tend to pull off your hair.
Hot oil massage: Sometimes a major reason of your hair fall can be lack of nutrition in your hair. So make sure to give your hair a hot oil treatment once in a week. You can use coconut oil, almond oil, mustard oil or any other oil of your choice.
Do not stress: Stress can be a great contributor to hair fall. When we are stressed, we tend to shed even more hair than normal. So try to remain stress free at least for your hair.
Eat properly: You might be losing your precious strands because of lack of nutrition in your body. Make sure to eat fruits, protein, nuts (walnuts, almond) and drink enough water. You will start seeing a huge difference.
Sleep well: Sleep can contribute a lot in the well-being of your hair. Sleep deprivation can also lead to hair fall. So make sure to sleep for at least 6-7 hours. BONUS- sleeping for 6 to 7 hours can also result in a glowing skin.
